Hello! My name is justan oval. I make weird videos and songs to please the flock of pigeons that control my brain.

Some of my biggest inspirations are Bill Wurtz, Sodikken, emamouse, Gooseworx, Lemon Demon, and Jack Stauber. Every day I find someone new that inspires me, and I hope to do the same for you. There is so much cool stuff out there on the internet.

I am a content creator, multimedia artist, and musician. I make things.

where did i come from?

In October of 2022, my physical health began to greatly deteriorate. It got so bad that I had to drop out of college. I was hardly able to participate in classes anymore. I am grateful to have had an online job at the time, and to have gotten hired full-time for a brief period.

In early 2023, around June or July, I began to experiment with Blender. I've always been interested in 3D art, having used Sculptris as my first sculpting program many years back. I always wanted to work with Blender, and had a base-level experience in it for a couple of years, but nothing beyond that. That summer, I really wanted to sit down and finally start working on some pieces I enjoyed. it took a lot of work on myself to figure out how i maintained motivation. to this day, i am still learning.

I started off slow in my Blender journey. Making simple pieces. Learning simple shaders. Making small enough projects that fit within my expectations, so I could maintain motivation. You can see my super early stuff on my Instagram.

My music journey, however, is a different story. I played cello for around 8 years before dropping it in my junior year of high-school. Music has always been a part of my life.

In something like 2020, I impulsively bought Ableton Live. I never used it until late 2022 or so, when I made my first actual song.

The pattern here is that I've always been interested in the music and arts, but never sat down to actually make something. until i realized that, in order for me to move forward, i have to take control of my life. i didn't know what that meant until i defined it for myself.

In November of 2023, I decided to finally sit down and make a video. Not plan out a channel. Not plan out an identity. Not plan out a pattern of content to upload. Just. Make. ONE. Video. No matter what it was, whatever I wanted it to be, let myself experiment and explore.

And thus, my first video was born, and justan oval with it.

what do i do?

I do a lot of things. Maybe too many.

I like to make digital 3D art, animations, and sculptures. I like to paint and sculpt my 3D models the most, this is the most fun to me in the 3D world.

I like to paint digitally and I like to photobash. Photobashing was one of the first 2D arts I got into, and I began painting slowly through the years until I was comfortable learning more. I like MS Paint for painting the most, but am learning a bit more about Krita. The simplicity of MS Paint is the most appealing. Though, Paint.NET is my go-to 2D art program in general.

I make music, which you may have heard. I like making all sorts of music. Weird and silly. Electronic and eclectic. Epic and orchestral. I have a lot of variety, and I love all of it.

I like to draw. Sometimes for planning, but mostly just to chill. It's calming. I wish I drew more. I'm not the best in the world, but it's real fun.

I like to write and world-build. some of this used to be public. now it's all private, until i can get into the right mindset for it.

I like to code and make games. I made this website from scratch. I code custom Minecraft mods. I code custom Discord bots. I made marble races in the form of short-form reels. I used to make games for my Twitch chat, when I streamed. I'm currently working on a new project for my Twitch. Most everything game-related that I make is made in Godot Engine. Beloved.
